This was another of my earliest sewing projects inspired by my father in law’s incredibly detailed kilt. After studying the construction on a visit, I was able to pick up a nice heavy cotton fabric on the top floor of Mood to make this first try! I tried to give it an asymmetrical sweeping closure. There are two loops of fabric that go over the buttons and hold it together. Additionally on the left side, there’s an inner tab with two pieces of ribbon you tie together. I had two big front panels that overlap as well. This is very important on windy winter days.
This is another one of those highly comfortable outfits that looks pretty nice 🙂
Wow…I’m so impressed. I always new you were talented but this is amazing! We are so very proud of you and all that you are accomplishing!!!! Love and hugs, Grandma Nikki and Grandpa Jim
